We’re Live…

The new Indigo Bleu Photography is Live! Still a few details to work out, but the site is up.

Please go check it out and come back to leave some feedback. I would love to hear what you have to say.

Mike & Sara

I met Mike and Sara 2 years ago. We lived next door to eachother and spent almost every Friday night together for close to a year. We became instant friends and I am the lucky one that they picked to take their engagement pictures.

We started out at their beautiful new home.

We then headed over to Marsh Creek State Park.

While taking pictures we had an unexpected visitor join us.

On our way out of the park we pulled over right after we crossed over this bridge. As luck would have it there was a red barn behind this bridge.

We headed back to the house and did a little wardrobe change. It was back outside to the neighbors old truck.

Sara & Mike stay tuned for your full gallery.

New York

This past weekend I went to New York to visit with some of my favorite photographers. They are the photographers I have befriended because of 365. Some of us are doing it again. I must say that this time around I am really enjoying it. I am doing it for me, I am doing it to keep in touch with some of my favorites. It is not about the best picture it is about just getting out the camera and capturing my daily life.

So anyway I spent last weekend in New York State. Here are some of my favorite pictures.

My friend Tamme’s brother lives next door. He has a “man cave” in his back yard. The world’s greatest “MAN CAVE!”

So of course the girls and I had to invade the said “man cave”.

And of course a couple of self portraits!

So We…

I had the kids one night last week and we danced. Well we dance a lot. We also jump on the beds, play in our bare feet outside, have indoor picnics, and anything else that is fun.

We were dancing to some black eyed peas in this photo.

We danced and jumped on beds for atleast two hours tonight.

Tonight was a good night!

I love these two and can’t wait to meet their sibling who should be entering the world in early 2010!

Over 3 years ago when I left my marriage I decided to find myself. I had lost that girl and knew she was in there. I knew she had so much to offer and I truly needed to not only find her but put her back together. It has been 3.5 years since I said good bye to the man I loved and the broken girl I was .

Three years ago I decided to join in on a photography group known as 365. It is about taking a self portrait daily for 365 days in a row. I completed it back in 2007 and I had met so many wonderful people. Through those people I have met more people. I am truly blessed. Some of my closest friends are from that chapter of my life. A group of us decided to go at it again. I succeeded once, failed once with in the first month, and figured that the third time was a charm. So here I am 13 days into it and loving it. Yes it is a lot, yes it takes time, but I get so much out of it. Not only do I get to form and grow relationships, I learn so much about myself. Life is truly wonderful. I am lucky and I am in such a wonderful place. I can’t wait to see what this year brings.

So I have posted a few of my favorite 365’s this time around.I will post more through out this year. I hope you enjoy.

I went to Kansas at the end of September and met the two newest members of the family. Miss Emma and Miss Abigail. Emma’s Mama & Abigail’s Daddy are sister and brother.  These girls are wonderful and I am so glad I got the chance to meet them.

Emma:

Abigail:

I was supposed to go back to Kansas for Thanksgiving, but plans have changed and I am staying in Philadelphia as of now. I will see them all for Wild Women’s Weekend in March! I can not wait!

I am starting to offer a package known as “The First Year Of Life”. It includes a newborn session with in the first two weeks of life, a 3-month session, a 6-month session, a 9-month session, and a baby’s first birthday session. I am proud to announce the first baby boy in this series. I have two sweet girls set up as well. Charlotte who was born in September and a new baby girl due in early Spring.

Here is Baby C, he was 16 days old at his first session:

He will be 3 months old on the 28th of November. I can’t wait to see how much he has grown.

A few weeks ago I promised a certain someone that if she stayed in her bed all night for two nights I would come over after work and watch “Snowman” White with her.

She did so I followed through on my promise.

So we made popcorn and added M & M’s!

And ate it of course:

When I said what could be better than popcorn and M&M’s? Her response was JUST M&M’s. She is such a smart girl!

We danced like every princess should:

We of course had to watch the movie:

A good night was had by all:

All this while wearing our “Snowman” White dress and shoes!

One of my oldest and of course best friends is having a baby. I am so excited to do her maternity, newborn, and first year of life pictures. So stay tuned over the next year and a half for some regular faces on this blog.  I am so excited to watch one of my favorite people evolve into the incredible mother I know she is going to be.

Monday she had her closest friends and family over for the gender reveal party. What is a gender reveal party one might ask? They scheduled their ultrasound months ago, sent out evites, talked with bakery about baking a cake with blue or pink in it depending on the gender of their baby.

So when the long awaited day arrived. They had the doctor give them two envelopes with the results of the gender one for them and one for the bakery. They took envelope to bakery and they baked a cake for them with gender specific icing inside. They had everyone arrive at 6:30 pm and they cut the cake to reveal if it was a boy or girl.

Dana and Jeff did not know until the cake was cut the gender of their baby. They waited until their closest friends and family were there.  It was so cool and I am so glad not only that I was part of it, but that i captured it.

The pictures of the big night.

The big reveal…

It’s a girl. The look of surprise is because we both (her and I) were convinced it was a boy. Everyone else was thinking girl.

They were so excited!

And Happy!

So many wonderful emotions!

The mommy to be on the phone with the nieces and nephews that could not make it.

I leave you with a quick belly shot we took. She was 20 weeks the day we took it and she looks fabulous. I can not wait to do her maternity session when she is at 32 weeks.

She is not even here and she is already so loved by so many. One very lucky little girl.

My View From Above…

Some Posing…

Some Smiles…

Of course lots of silliness…

Some thinking…

We can’t forget the brother…

Some dancing…

More Silliness…

And crawling….

Stick pickup…

Worm inspecting:

And of course climbing…

It was an adventure as always. How can you not love fall.
